We believe his story will serve as an inspiration to many people.
Nacho’s brother, Manolo Olmos, lost his battle with cancer six years ago. At that point Nacho decided to get on a bike and cycle all over Spain – and afterwards around the world – to raise awareness on cancer and raise money to fund organisations set up to find a cure for it, like the AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer).
His incredible journey, cycling around the world for the last six years, is well documented on his personal blog (http://www.uncaminopormanolo.com).
His is a story of selflessness – although he is not a cancer survivor, his love for his brother is what drove him to start this long journey. We believe a person does not need to face personal close encounters with death him/herself to bring up change and try to make a difference – sometimes witnessing the hardship suffered by a loved one makes normal people take on extraordinary challenges.
Nacho Olmos’ journey is an act of love towards his late brother Manolo, it has received global media attention and has earned him the “Live 2012 Award” for his efforts to bring up cancer to the front of the news.
We believe his love for his brother, his sacrifice and his journey make him a real Unstoppable.
